The Appellants were charged with and convicted of armed
robbery on account of the doctrine of recent possession. They were aggrieved by
that decision and appealed to the High Court, which dismissed their appeal.
They further appealed to the Court of Appeal on various grounds: conviction on
basis of insufficient evidence; improper evaluation of the evidence; failure to
consider the defence evidence; failure to take necessary caution on accomplice
evidence; and conviction on contradictory prosecution evidence.
