The Plaintiff who operated a current account with the
Defendant’s Lumumba Branch in Dar es Salaam had his cheque dishonoured for no
apparent reason and he was not informed as to why the cheque could not be paid.
He sued the bank for breach of contract and libel and claimed for general
damages.
