This is an application for extension of time to file a
Notice of Appeal out of time. The application has been made under rule 10 of
the Court of Appeal Rules, 2009. The Regional Court of Zanzibar exercising its
Extended Powers sitting at Vuga entered an exparte judgment in favour of
the above named Respondent. Aggrieved by the judgment, the applicants attempted
to set it aside but they were unsuccessful. Equally unsuccessful was their
application in the same Court for extension of time to file a Notice of Appeal
out of time to enable them appeal in this Court. They have come to this Court
for a second bite so to speak so that they be allowed to file a Notice of
Appeal out of time.
