This is a decision as to the raised preliminary objection by
the Respondent on a point of law that this Court has no jurisdiction for want
of certificate on point of law by the High Court to entertain the matter at
hand. The record shows that this appeal originated from the Primary Court of
Tunduma, in Criminal Case No. 337 of 2000. Therefore, the Appellant was
required to obtain a certificate on a point of law from the High Court in terms
of section 6(7) (b) of the Appellate Jurisdiction Act [Cap 141 R.E. 2002].
