A dispute over ownership of land arose between the Appellant and the Respondent to which the Ilala District Land and Housing Tribunal decided in favour of the Respondent. Aggrieved by the Ilala District Land and Housing Tribunal decision, the Appellant appealed to the High Court. The main ground relied upon by the Appellant was whether she had a right to know when the suit land was being repossessed by the village authority so that she could defend herself.
