The Appellants were charged with and convicted of burglary, stealing and receiving stolen or unlawfully acquired property. They were each sentenced to ten (10) years’ imprisonment. The trial court ordered this sentence to run concurrently with another sentence meted out against the Appellants in a different case that was heard by the same trial court. The Appellants were dissatisfied by the conviction and on appeal complained that the identity of the alleged stolen property was not established, the Police search was not legal, conviction on the basis of the evidence of the co-accused was not proper, the prosecution’s failed to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt, and that the trial’s court failed to consider the defence evidence.
