The Appellant together with Fredy Elija @ Carol (who was convicted in absentia after jumping bail) were charged of two counts, namely, Unlawful Entry into the Game Reserve, contrary to section 15 (1) and (2) the Wildlife Conservation Act, 2009 and Unlawful Possession of Government Trophies, contrary to 86 (1) and (2) (c)(iii) of the Wildlife Conservation Act, No. 5 of 2009 (as amended) read together with paragraph 14 of the First Schedule to the Economic and Organized Crime Control Act [Cap 200 R.E. 2002] as amended, by the District Court of Serengeti at Mugumu. He was convicted as charged and sentenced to serve imprisonment for a term of three years and twenty years for the first and second counts respectively. Aggrieved, he has filed the present appeal
