The applicant filed his chamber application as against the
first Respondents seeking for two main reliefs, namely, an order of the High
Court granting the applicant leave to appeal against the ruling of this court
and an order certifying that a point of law was involved in the appeal.
The application met with two preliminary objections from the Respondent,
namely, that the application was incompetent on the ground that it was brought
under wrong provisions of the law and that the verification clause was
defective because it was not dated, not signed and did not state the place at
which it was.
