The Appellant was charged with and convicted of the offence
of rape. He was sentenced to 30 years’ imprisonment. He was dissatisfied with
the decision of the trial court and appealed to the High Court. At the High
Court the Appellant attacked failure of the trial court to summon defence
witnesses.
