The Appellant was charged before Ilala District Court at Samora Avenue with the offence of rape contrary to the law. The trial court found the Appellant guilty as charged. He was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. His appeal to the High Court at Dar es Salaam was unsuccessful, hence the present appeal which is against both conviction and sentence.
